Meet the Maker

Background

Originally from Seattle, Washington, Drew is a meticulous craftsman with a deep respect for well-built gear. His journey into leatherwork began in 2017 while living in Boulder, CO and attending university. He cut his teeth at a high-quality boot company tucked into the Rocky Mountains, where he was taught about traditional cordwaining. In 2019, he returned to the Pacific Northwest with the company, furthering his skills while diving into all facets of helping run a business.

By 2022, Drew shifted his focus from boots to a broader range of leather and canvas goods, working in a respected Seattle leather shop where he refined his ability to design and build durable, everyday pieces. With over six years of experience, he takes pride in making gear that’s built to last—simple, functional, and ready for whatever the day brings.

Beyond the Workshop

Drew doesn’t sit still for long. When he’s not cutting and stitching leather, he’s working full-time in the GIS world, where he gets to combine his love for data and design by making maps. He also serves as a volunteer firefighter and first responder, dedicating his time to protecting and supporting his small community—something he values just as much as his craft.

Outside of work, he spends his time out in the woods, gardening, or wrangling his two dogs. Lately, he’s been diving into linocut printing and knitting, with plans to fold those skills into future projects. Whether it's leather, ink, or wool, he’s always looking for the next challenge.

Thank you so much for your support of a small business!
